It’s easy to think we do little to advance God’s Kingdom. When we look at the world it can seem discouraging. May I suggest that it’s not that what you do is small, but how you view the life you give to Christ is small. Let’s reflect on what it might mean to have ‘eyes to see’.
Who we see ourselves to be, and how we view our purpose as Christians makes a difference in how we will respond to the needs of our world. We can not sit back and wait for Jesus to return, he’s already given us the task of reconciling what is broken to himself in order to make it right on earth. We do have hope, there is a way to do something and see change.
Can the Bible be used as a guidebook, self-help book, magic eight-ball? How do we discern from the Bible? When I first starting reading the Bible, I didn’t know where to begin. I know I am not alone, even now it isn’t always simple, but the good news is that we don’t have to understand it all at once and it does offer discernment if we are willing to plunge in. Our state officially went on lockdown, a.k.a “Stay at Home, Stay Safe,” Monday.
