The repercussions of COVID-19 are spreading wider than we anticipated. We suddenly find ourselves at home quarantined with life on hold. What do we do when all our plans are thrown out the window with seemingly no way to consider what the future may hold?
Our state officially went on lockdown, a.k.a “Stay at Home, Stay Safe,” Monday. Though I continue to write about discernment, I thought it’d be nice to pause and practice discerning prayer in an unsettling time. Stories do more than entertain, they can speak a message of a deeper truth or reveal a mystery. God is a great storyteller and he invites us into his story. His narratives remind us of who we are and show us where we are going. His poetry and prose invite us to come and sit with him, steep in deep truths, and fully live with discerning hearts.
Our daughter joined our family over seven years ago through adoption. It has grown me in ways I never anticipated. Here’s part of that journey.
